She hosts the Monday Morning Show and is the local host of National Public Radio's "All Things Considered" a few days a week. She also writes public services announcements and creates web stories.

The door from the former Grand Rapids Bus Depot will be dedicated 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at Hodgins-Berardo Arena in Coleraine. Eight Itasca County Vietnam veterans who were killed or missing in action will be honored.

The film, "The Parish of the Pines," is based on the true story of an outlaw and a preacher who visited logging camps in the Grand Rapids area in the early 1900s. The movie is at the Reif Center in Grand Rapids at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, and Thursday, Aug. 31.
