Wordish - Call for Submissions

Have you always wanted a broader audience for your writing? Wanted an alternative to a live reading? Simply wanted to hear how your work sounds outside yourself? KAXE/KBXE Northern Community Radio broadcasts over virtually the entire northern third of Minnesota as well as audio-streaming everywhere on the internet. We are calling on out-state Minnesota writers to submit their best writing to Wordish a new artist centered audio segment. We are looking for original poems, short fiction and creative essays. Rules:

Short Fiction and Creative Essays – under 500 words

Poetry - 250 words or less

Times being what they are, we want to avoid partisan politics and, as always, there are certain words that can’t be on Wordish.

The mission of Wordish is the mission of NCR – To present and promote the arts in Northern Minnesota. Towards that end, we will reach out a variety of communities – schools, writer’s groups, open-mics, known writers – to seek  diverse voices and viewpoints and to provide a platform for out-state Minnesotans to tell their stories
